We are proud to introduce our Staff:

Dr. Henry Emery is a Board Certified Family Practice physician and was formerly employed by Carolinas Healthcare.

Dr. Emery has been practicing medicine for 17 years and has long been popular with his patients, earning the "Top Provider" award for highest Patient Satisfaction the last three years with Carolinas Healthcare. Many patients admire the level of care he is willing to give them. Dr. Emery will be accepting most forms of insurance, (to include Medicare and Medicaid and odd ones like GHI and QualCare). He will also be providing in-home health visits on a case by case basis for critically fragile, home bound patients.

Dr. Emery says, "Patients do want convenience, that's true. But in my time as a doctor, and especially as a small town doctor in the foothills of the NC mountains, I found that patients appreciate a relationship with their doctor. The qualities of a "small town doctor" are in fact what most want when they are choosing their personal or family physician. Unfortunately, with modern health care structure, those qualities are hard to meet because primary care physicians are too often strongly encouraged to limit their care to utilize specialists and physicians are over scheduled. That is why we opened as an independent medical office and how we came to realize Liberty Family Physicians, PLLC's motto: "Freedom to practice medicine as it was meant to be practiced."

Please join us in welcoming Brenda Young, PA-C to Liberty Family Physicians, PLLC!  She is also working with JAARS. Mrs. Young graduated Magna Cum Laude from Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science and has been practicing for many years. Her friendly and personable personality puts everyone at ease. We will be happy to schedule appointments for her effective immediately for all services offered within our practice. Please call 704-844-0505 for an appointment!

Dr. Emery is also...

Dr. Henry Emery Jr. isn't only a Board Certified Family Practice Physician who is licensed in both NC and SC, he is also (get ready for it!) a Registered D.O.T. Medical Examiner, Senior Military Emergency Management Specialist, Vice President and Physician for NC State Guard, Rank: Captain in SC State Guard, and Leader of SC State Guard Urban Search and Rescue Military Medical Unit, CDC Registered Yellow Fever Vaccination Provider, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Advanced PreHospital Trauma Life Support, Advanced Trauma Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, Advanced Disaster Medicine Life Support, Qualified Veteran Affairs Recognized Disability Evaluator, South Carolina Medical Control Officer, Search and Rescue Tech 3 Provider.

Dr. Emery encourages everyone to volunteer in some capacity that will strengthen their community in the case of a disaster. "Be a part of a solution, even if that means planning ahead on what you would do when needed." Dr. Emery works with local service communities and is willing to allow his practice to be used as a location for emergency training. "Learning how to help your fellow neighbors when a need arises is a very rewarding and empowering act. Children through adults can be a vital part of any community's resourcefulness in an emergency when they know what to do to help."
